the only person who fully knows what happened is Tom, and since he refuses to talk or reply to any of us, my sympathy is completely nil.

This message is for Tom - if you're listening. Tom - what is going on over there? Seems like Baked Fresh is no more, from the posts of some of these ex-fans/writers. The past two weeks my e-mails have been returned and your phone seems to be dead. To ex-fans/writers: I'm also a contributor - the only cucumber on staff. Having spoken personally to Tom, I don't think he "scammed" us and I will give him the benefit of the doubt as to whether he wants to "plagiarize" our reviews - it's too easy to simply do a search and expose plagiarists (at least, if all your reviews are on your own reputable website - like me, ahem...) I just want to know what's going on over there. If anyone else can elucidate - WITHOUT derisive speculation - I'd appreciate it... Advertisers pulled plugs? Tom moved onto something else? Sincerely, Poffy the Cucumber

You really don't know what a mullet is. Business in the front, party in the back. The actors you mentioned were not wearing mullets. It was really popularized by musicians in the 80s, looking for something new and different. It was really adopted by pro wrestlers, and for the same reason, keeps the hair out of the eyes. Most famous: David Bowie (a good decade before it became popular) and Billy Ray Cyrus.

what a pisser.

That is a possibility because the percentage you would get if you pulled in an advertiser was ridicoulsly low. Those two things are in the same boat, and also he only published like half of the reviews he got, so he probably only did that to keep us feeding them. My prediction is that he was just an ambitious college boy who thought he could make an excellent website, but then after he started he found out he'd actually have to do work for that to happen, so he quit.

Let's face it he guy scammed us. He got us to write some good reviews and is probably using them and pretending that it's his own work for a film class or something. That's one possible answer.

i just came on here to say the exact same thing :P seriously, it really is frustrating, checking this site almost every day to see if maybe, just maybe, updates have began again. but they never have. so i really just want it to disappear. man, this sucks.
